A successful event and inspiring discussions

Two weeks ago, the event in Berlin on The Power of Financial Storytelling: Transforming Data into Strategic Insights for Integrated Performance Management, proved once again that finance is about far more than numbers—it’s about crafting narratives that build trust, align strategy, and create value. The outstanding panel included Raymond Gann and Björn Blank, both AGIG committee members, whose contributions sparked both practical insights and inspiring discussions. Honouring a long-standing commitment to the finance profession

During this highly successful event in Berlin, AICPA & CIMA had the distinct honour of awarding the CIMA Plaque to Raymond Gann—a true founding father of the AGIG (Accountants Group in Germany), which he helped establish in 1980. As a long-standing member of the committee, Raymond’s influence has been foundational to our community’s growth and vibrancy.

His wide network and unwavering dedication have enriched our seminars with insightful speakers on a vast array of topics, ensuring our events remain both relevant and inspiring. Over more than two decades, Raymond’s passion and support have been instrumental in shaping our community in Germany and across Europe.

The CIMA Plaque is one of the highest recognition awards bestowed by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). It is typically presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the profession, the institute, or the broader accounting community. The plaque signifies exceptional service, leadership, and dedication to advancing the field of management accounting and supporting CIMA’s mission and values.
