David Rooney

Current Trends in Talent Mobility – An HR Perspective

David Rooney is partner in the People Advisory Services (PAS) division of EY in Eschborn/Frankfurt.

Originally from Northern Ireland, David has been living and working in Germany since 1992. He studied Modern Languages at the University of St. Andrews and Human Resource Management at Strathclyde Business School. David has spent 32 years in talent mobility in both consulting and corporate roles. His current role comprises three key components:

  • Mobility Transformation Projects, including mobility purpose, programs and policies, service delivery operation and processes, technology and data
  • Mobility Managed Services, supporting co-sourcing solutions with EY’s clients
  • EY’s internal Talent Mobility Program, supporting primarily from a transformational perspective

Earlier in his career, David worked at Arthur Andersen, Accenture, and PwC. At Accenture, he was Global Head of Mobility, responsible for an expatriate population of 12,000.
